We are hiring a Key Account Manager in Denmark to expand the impact of our portfolio by engaging GPs, nurses, and therapeutic area groups, aligning value propositions to stakeholder needs, and increasing adherence to guideline‑directed medical therapies.

The Role

As a Key Account Manager, you will drive commercial performance and deliver sales targets through account responsibility for GPs, Primary Care Nurses, Key External Experts, and Therapeutic Area Groups. You will identify and act on district opportunities, implement and execute brand operational plans, and enable access by influencing formularies and protocols for AstraZeneca products in the region. You will fully leverage omnichannel to deliver relevant customer engagement and support Transform Care projects, always demonstrating AstraZeneca’s values, ethics and compliance.

This is a field-based position.

What you will do:

  • Sales and education: Deliver sales targets and lead educational interactions with GPs, nurses, specialists, KEEs and therapeutic groups to upscale HCP capability across our therapy areas and drive uptake of sales.
  • Access and protocols: Enable access by influencing relevant formularies and protocols for AstraZeneca products in the region.
  • Account strategy and execution: Identify and prioritize accounts, analyze needs, develop strategies and execute key initiatives aligned to the BOP or MCP/Brand strategy and Ethical Interaction policy.
  • Omnichannel engagement: Ensure relevant, compliant interactions by leveraging omnichannel and working strategically with the customer journey; customer engagement across channels, including remote e‑detailing and approved email.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration: Initiate and pursue joint BOP and/or MCP/Brand strategy and work closely with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs and support functions to maximize regional share of voice.
  • Transform Care projects: Initiate and support Transform Care projects as agreed following risk assessment processes.
  • Budget and performance: Manage the promotional budget and ROI for the district/region; regularly update sales support systems with customer and activity information.
  • Relationships and networks: Internally, you will collaborate closely with Sales Managers, HCA Managers, Marketing Managers, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and support functions.  Externally you will engage with Primary Care accounts, therapeutic group members, heads of clinics, GPs/subspecialists, nurses and pharmacists, maintaining long‑term business relationships

To succeed you will have (Essential)

  • University education or equivalent
  • Previous and solid sales experience from Pharma Industry with 3-4 years with relevant experience as a sales representative with solid sales results and experience from several product areas
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to master complex tasks even under time pressure
  • Demonstrated Account Management experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the region and according to needs
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of the Pharma industry, AstraZeneca specific TAs, medical products and health economics
  • Persuasive communication delivered in Group calls, single calls and product booth exhibitions
  • Omnichannel execution experience
  • Excellent knowledge in Nordic language in country of placement
  • Solid English language skills
  • Has a good understanding of the ethical code and compliance requirements, culminating in a certification
  • Drivers license required
